Lee Smallwood is the Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner of Hivemind Capital Partners.
Prior to Hivemind, Mr. Smallwood spent 6 years as the Chief Operating Officer of the Markets & Securities Services business in North America for Citi, a leading global investment bank. In addition, Lee was also Head of Rates Digital Assets, providing traditional financial services with a crypto component to Citi’s existing and digital native clients.
Before his time at Citi, Lee was the co-founder/CEO of Gradible, a fintech startup providing optimal student loan repayment solutions. Gradible was acquired in 2016 by CommonBond Inc.
Lee started his career as a Rates trader on Citi’s analyst program, where he and founder Matt Zhang first met.
He is a graduate of the London School of Economics, graduating with First Class Honors in Mathematics and Economics.
